Youth Sunday
February 5, 2012: Part 1 Part 2 Part 3 - High school seniors Gib Hartley, Philip Host, Colin Munson, and Hugh Reynolds served as preachers for this morning's worship. The opening voluntaries were by Gib Hartley (soprano sax) and Jack Brake, Luke Clements, Emma Hartley, and Vidya Venkatesh (vocal quartet). Musical leadership (including the Anthem and Offertory) was provided by the Youth Choir. Nathan D'Ignazio (piano) played the postlude.
February 6, 2011 - High school seniors Charlotte Cushing, Jill Kecskemethy, and Will Stephenson served as preachers for this morning's worship service. Nathan D'Ignazio played both the opening voluntary and the postlude on the piano. June Lee accompanied the singing of hymns. Music leadership was provided by the Youth choir.
February 7, 2010 - High school seniors Logan Clements, Robyn Morse, and Peter Sisson served as preachers in this morning's service. Many youth had supporting roles as liturgists, musicians, and more.
February 22, 2009 - Four high school seniors, Chris Lake, Sarah Fickling, Ellen Kecskemethy and Alex Host, served as preachers in this morning's worship service. Senior Emma Eckenoff performed the opening voluntary on piano.
February 10, 2008 - Sermons were offered by three of our high school seniors: Laura Cushing, Alex Stephenson, and Liz McGrath. Music leadership was offered by our middle school choir.
Lenten Musical Offerings
Directed by Jeffrey DeVault, our Chancel Choir is augmented by guest singers and accompanied by professional musicians, including organist Alan Morrison.
Johannes Brahms' Requiem: March 11, 2012 - The Chancel Choir, joined by singers from other local choirs and professional soloists and instrumentalists, presented Brahms' Requiem at Lang Hall (Swarthmore College). Proceeds, which were matched by a generous gift, benefitted ABC Strath Haven and the Chester Children's Chorus. There is no audio file available.
Children's Choirs' Cantatas
Written by Kimberly Ingram and Joe Milton, this is a wonderful musical retelling of the stories of Jesus befriending outcasts. Presented by our Junior Choir, with assistance from the Youth and Primary Choirs, under the direction of Ray Thompson.
Arranged by Jeff Sandstrom, this year's cantata was performed in Fellowship Hall under the direction of Ray Thompson. Audio is not available, but pictures will soon be posted on the news page.

Advent Musical Offerings
G. F. Handel's Messiah December 16, 2013
An afternoon concert presented by SPC's Chancel Choir, who are joined by a number of singers from Wallingford Presbyterian Church and accompanied by a chamber orchestra of some of our favorite professionals under the baton of Jeffrey DeVault.
Selections include a Gustav Holst arrangement of "Personent Hodie," Ralph Vaughan Williams' "Fantasia on Christmas Carols, Gustav Holsts' "Christmas Day," and Benjamin Britten's "Jubilate Deo." Under the direction of jeff DeVault, the Chancel choir and guests are accompanied by organist Michael Stairs and cellist Richard Amoroso. Jeff DeVault, sr, serves as baitone soloist in the Vaughan Williams piece.
